Eastern Numismatics is proud to offer this beautiful 1985 1oz Silver Mexican Libertad to our clients, while supplies last. This pure 99.9% fine silver coin was minted from 1981 to 1995 by the Mexico City Mint. Each coin is 36 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick.
The Reverse of the coin features the Mexican Coat of Arms, which consists of an eagle perched on a cactus, eating a snake; there is a block pattern design around the rim. The legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" along with a half wreath, encircle the eagle.
The Obverse of the coin shows the image of the Angel of Independence, also known as the Winged Victory. In this representation she holds a wreath above her head with her right hand and a broken chain in her left hand. Behind Victory are the two volcanoes, Iztaccihautl and Popocatépet. The rim block pattern is on the top half of the coin, along with the denomination "1 ONZA" to the left of the Winged Victory. On Victory’s right is the phrase Plata Pura (pure silver) and the mint mark (Mo). Below Victory is the year "1985" and "MEXICO LEY .999.”
